How to Convert and Transfer DVD to SD Card

Nowadays, a micro SD Card is a useful tool widely used in tablets and phones as external or removable storage device. Its large memory capacity increases tablets and phones' storage space. Some people want to copy the DVD films from disc to micro SD card so that they can enjoy the films when travelling with their tablets and mobie phones. But this is not easy because the format of DVD movie is not supported by the portable devices. How to Convert DVD Moives to SD Card

Step 1. Launch TuneFab DVD Ripper

Step 2. Import DVD File

After opening the software, then click "Load Disc" at the upper-left corner to add DVD files. There are three ways of importing files, including “Load DVD Disc”, “Load DVD Folder” and "Load IFO Files". You can choose one of them to load DVD videos.

Step 3. Select Output Settings

Click "Profile" button and choose the output video format that tablets or mobile phones support. This tutorial takes MP4 as an example. You will find that there are two kinds of MP4 formats, one is MPEG-4 Video, the other is H.264/MPEG-4 AVC Video. MPEG-4 Video is a compression standard for network broadcast and video communication, with small size and high quality picture. H.264/MPEG-4 AVC Video is the extension of MPEG4 video format, with high compression rate.

Additionally, you can merge the original DVD video and the converted MP4 video into one file by checking “Merge into one file” box.

Step 4. Start Conversion

After specifying output video settings, click "Convert" button at the lower right corner to start conversion. The conversion time depends on the total file size you choose for ripping. During the conversion, you are allowed to browse the converted length of the current file and elapsed time. In addition, you can select the action after the conversion is done by clicking the drop-down menu near "After done".

Step 5. Transfer DVD to SD Card

Before transferring the movie file into the SD card, please make sure that your SD card has enough space to store the video. Then insert the SD card and SD card reader into your PC. When the SD card has been detected by the computer, copy and transfer the converted DVD movie to your SD card.

Or you can directly store the converted video in your SD Card by clicking "Open Folder" button and selecting the SD Card as the destination before conversion.
