Part 1. Install & Register TuneFab Screen Recorder

Step 1. Install TuneFab Screen Recorder (Windows)

Click on the button "Try It Free" to download TuneFab Screen Recorder. Then, install it on your computer by following the instructions.

Step 2. Launch TuneFab Screen Recorder

After installation is complete, open TuneFab Screen Recorder and it will run. You can see the interface of the program as below.

Step 3. Register TuneFab Screen Recorder

The free trial only allows you to record each video up to 2 minutes, you can upgrade to the full version to unlock the limitation.

From our store, purchase the full version and you will receive an email with activation code. Then Click on "Register" button, enter the activation code into the pop-up window, and click on "Unlock" button.

Part 2. Record Screen/Video on PC

Step 1. Choose Recording Area on Your Computer

To record screen, click on "Screen Recorder" section from the interface.

You need to adjust to the recording area before recording video, music, game process etc. You are able to choose "Full screen" or "Custom" to custom the recording area you want.

Step 2. Record Video

If you would like to record video conference or Skype chat, both system audio and the microphone are needed to select. Click on "System Audio" and "Microphone" to enable the checkmarks. But you need to select "System Audio" and turn off "Microphone" while recording videos from YouTube, music videos, online movies, iTunes or some other sites else. This is to avoid the noise around you will lower the quality of the videos.

Step 3. Change Location of Output Files and Screenshots

Click on the gear button to activate "Settings", you can designate an output path to save the recording videos or screenshot in "General".

Step 4. Reset Hotkeys

You can set the hotkeys to start/stop recording, pause/resume recording and take a screenshot in "Shortcuts".

Step 5. Select Output Format

Click on "Settings" button, you are free to select output formats like WMV or MP4, video codec, video quality and set audio preferences as you like.

Step 6. Record the Desktop Screen

After the above settings are made, you need to open a window that you desire to record, then click on the button "REC" to start recording. Once the recording pauses, remember to save the files by clicking on "Save" on the lower right corner.

Part 3. Record Audio on PC

Step 1. Open System Audio & Microphone

Run the recorder software, click on the "Audio Recorder". Then enable "System Audio" and "Microphone" so that you can record audio only.

Step 2. Designate Location of Output Files

Click on the gear button, go to "General" > "Location of Output Files", then select a folder to save output audio files.

Step 3. Change Hotkeys

You can change the hotkeys as you like to start/stop recording, pause/resume recording audio tracks by moving mouse to "Shortcuts" section.

Step 4. Choose Audio Format

Click on "Settings", you are allowed to set audio preferences including codec and audio format of system audio/microphone as you like.

Step 5. Start Recording Audio

After everything is ready, click on "REC" button to start recording the audio tracks.
